Warm, reliable sitter for my daughter (4), central Milan

Hello, I'm Kempton, an American father based in Milan since 2022, and I am looking for a kind, reliable sitter for my daughter Virginia, who is 4. She is creative, curious and funny, & loves painting, singing, dancing, music and books. She has attended a bilingual Italian & English Montessori school for 3 years, so she understands Italian and answers mostly in English.

The role is gentle and child-centred: the morning routine, taking her to and from her program, meals and snacks, play and creative activities, reading together, and the bath and bedtime routine, and keeping her things tidy. I work from a home office, so I am present and close by throughout the day.

Partial English is fine, but a good command of Italian is essential, so you can manage the city confidently. What matters most to me is warmth, patience and reliability. I look forward to introducing my daughter to her new sitter.

The first period is an eleven-day trial, 1 to 11 July.

A typical summer school camp day: From about 4pm you pick her up with me (87 meters from the front door) and we are with her through dinner and bedtime.

For August, my daughter's godfather has a hotel in Positano, so we will have extra support on hand.
